Norwich has recently been highlighted in a national report as hosting one of the UK’s most highly concentrated, highly diversified creative industry clusters.
The report: Geography of Creativity in the UK, was produced by NESTA and Creative England, and published in July 2016.
Of the 47 UK clusters identified, Norwich ranks top in terms of concentration of creative clusters. It’s key employment specialisation is listed as publishing. The report identifies 1,345 creative businesses employing nearly 7,000 people.
The report notes that the Creative Industries sector grew almost twice as fast as the rest of the economy in 2014 and contributes £81.4 GVA (5.2% of the total) to the economy.
