Norwich music venue hailed as one of the most beautiful in the UK
A historical music venue in Norwich city centre has been hailed as one of the most beautiful gig venues to visit in the UK.
BBC Music released the list this week, and Norwich Arts Centre (converted from the 15th-Century former church of St Swithin back in 1980) has made the top ten. The venue has a long and illustrious history when it comes to rock music, having played host to bands such as Nirvana, Muse and many more besides.
The architectural features of the church are also visually stunning, and the venue also plays host to various local art exhibitions, including educational workshops and even a darkroom facility for photographers.
This important recognition can only add to the strong cultural and musical heritage that Norwich has as a city!
